No. SeekStories does the design work for you. Pick one of the four templates (Bold, Editorial, Modern, or Social) and the layout, typography, color application, hierarchy, and spacing all happen automatically. Your job is the content. The tool’s job is making it look professional. If you can pick a template from a thumbnail and type into a text box, you have all the design skills you need.
No. SeekStories writes the captions and the slide content for you. You provide a topic, a URL to an article, or a rough idea, and the AI produces a 7-slide story with a hook, supporting points, a synthesis, and a call to action. Every line of text is editable if you want to tweak it, but most users find the AI output is ready to publish as-is or with minor edits.
Two main modes: Insight stories (a single argument explored across 7 slides, ending in a synthesis) and Listicle stories (3-5 numbered points, framed and concluded). You can feed it a URL (a blog post, an article, anything readable on the web) and it’ll transform that into a carousel. Or you can give it a topic with optional context and let it generate from scratch. Either way you get a 7-slide story plus an Instagram caption written for it.
Every generated story comes with two Instagram captions: one tuned for carousel posts, one tuned for reels. They follow Instagram-native conventions: the first line is written as a hook (because Instagram truncates after about 125 characters), no clickable links (they don’t work in IG captions), short paragraphs separated by blank lines, sparing emoji, and 3-5 specific topical hashtags. The carousel version is longer (300-600 characters). The reel version is short and punchy (80-180 characters). Both are fully editable and travel in the export zip as ready-to-paste text files.
You click the Send to Phone button, SeekStories renders your slides, encrypts them in your browser, and shows a QR code. You scan the code with your phone’s camera and the slides arrive on your device, ready to upload to Instagram. The encryption key never leaves your browser. Only your phone can decrypt what’s been transferred. Most users find this much faster than emailing files to themselves or using a cloud sync service.
Yes, everything is editable. Click any headline, body, statistic, or quote to edit it inline. The CTA slide’s headline, button text, and kicker label are all editable per-story. The captions and hashtags are editable. Your edits persist with that story and survive when you switch templates, change formats (1:1, 4:5, 9:16), or regenerate other parts of the story. If you don’t like what the AI wrote, you can also click “Regenerate this slide” or “Regenerate caption” to get a fresh take.
The same story can be exported as either. Carousels are static slides (1:1 square or 4:5 portrait) that users swipe through manually. Reels are vertical videos (9:16) where the slides auto-advance with timing. SeekStories handles both from the same story content. The templates re-render appropriately, the captions adjust their length and tone, and the export produces the right format. You don’t have to choose upfront; you pick the format at export time.
Yes. SeekStories uses your Anthropic API key, which you add once in Settings. This means you control your usage and your data. Your stories never pass through anyone else’s account. API costs are typically a few cents per generated story (depends on length and model). Most users find this far cheaper than buying tokens through a third-party reseller.
In SeekStories Agency, yes. You can manage multiple brand profiles, each with its own logo, colors, voice, CTA presets, and Instagram handle. Switch between them with one click. Useful if you’re an agency producing content for several clients, or a creator with multiple brands. In SeekStories Base, you have one brand profile. Same features otherwise: same templates, same caption generation, same Send to Phone, same export quality. The Base edition is designed for solo creators and businesses with a single brand identity.
A zip file with everything you need to publish. For carousels: seven PNG images (one per slide) at full Instagram resolution. For reels: an MP4 video. In both cases the zip also includes caption-carousel.txt and caption-reel.txt with your two Instagram captions, formatted ready-to-paste with hashtags at the end. Just unzip, upload the images or video to Instagram, paste the caption from the text file. Done.
